Die Zusammenarbeit des New Yorker Posaunisten Steve Swell mit dem Saxophonisten Jan Klare begann 2018 in einer Produktion des Moers Festival. Die Musik funktionierte und man beschloss die Fortsetzung mit zwei weiteren Musikern der Moers-Band in Quartett Version. Vatcher und de Joode sind ohne Zweifel eine der profiliertesten Rhythmusgruppen im europäischen Freejazz - dieses Quartett verfügt über eine Bandbreite von dichtester Energie bis zu subtilsten Feinheiten.
The collaboration between NYC trombonist Steve Swell and german saxophonist Jan Klare began in 2018 in a production for the moers-festival. The music worked out and they decided to continue with two of the other musicians from the moers-band. Vatcher and de Joode are no doubt one of the high profile rhythmsections in european freejazz - the quartetts range covers very dense energy to most subtle interplay.
