VÉLVEZ
Die Wurzeln von VÉLVEZ (*1982 als Thomas Castañeda) liegen in Tirol und Mexiko. Er begann im Alter von 5 Jahren Klavier und im Alter von 12 Jahren Orgel zu spielen. Er kam als talentierter Autodidakt in Sachen Pop- und Weltmusik nach Wien und verfeinerte im Laufe der Jahre seine Fähigkeiten und kultivierte seine eigene kompositorische Arbeit. Es war 2010 in Wien, als er das Ensemble “Donauwellenreiter” (DWR) gründete, das sowohl für seine herausragenden Live-Konzerte als auch für seine Aufnahmen gelobt und anerkannt wurde. Nun erscheint VÉLVEZs Debütalbum als Solopianist „I WILL NEVER DIE“ im Frühjahr 2022.
VÉLVEZ’s (*1982 as Thomas Castañeda) roots lie in Tyrol and Mexico. He began to play the piano at the age of 5 and the organ at the age of 12. He came as a talented self-taught artist in terms of pop and world music to Vienna and over the years he refined his skills and cultivated his own compositional work. It was in Vienna 2010, when he founded the ensemble “Donauwellenreiter” (DWR), that has been praised and recognized for both its outstanding live concerts and recordings. Now, VÉLVEZ’s debut album as a solo pianist ‘I WILL NEVER DIE’ will be released in spring 2022.
